本研究においては, 淡路島地域を除き神戸層群における地すべりの分布状態を明らかにするとともに, 地質的考察を加え次のような結果を得た。1) 兵庫県下の第三紀中新世の神戸層群には地すべりが広く分布している。2) 神戸層群における地すべりは約2,700ha, 80個所に達している。3) 長尾川および八多川流域においてはこれによる開析が少なく, また比較的安定な砂土, 砂壤土などの砂質土壌が発達しているため, 地すべりの発生が少ない。4) 地すべりの誘因は主として凝灰質砂岩ないし泥岩の風化にあるものと考えられる。5) 地すべりはしばしば断層破砕帯地域に発生している。本研究に対して, 兵庫県農林部耕地課, 神戸土地改良出張所, 同土木部砂防課より貴重な資料の提供を受けたことに深甚な謝意を表する。
Results of studies on the distribution and the geology of landslides in the Kobe group, excepting those in the Awaji island, are as follows : 1) Landslides are widely distributed over the Kobe group, the Tertiary system of Hyogo Prefecture. 2) The area of landslides in the Kobe group amounts to about 2.700ha at 80 places. 3) Landslides of Kobe group hardly occur in the Nagao and the Hata river basin, because of the development of such stable sandy soils as sand and sandy loam. 4) It is thought that one of main reasons of landslides is due to the weathering of mudstones. 5) Landslides occur often on fracture zones of faults.
