抄録
日本の農業改良普及事業の中で生活改善普及事業のあり方を明らかにするため,まず,兵庫県下の生活改善実行グループの実践活動を通してその歴史的展開と意義について検討した。生活改善普及事業は,農業改良普及センターを中心に普及活動が行われ,各地域では生活改善実行グループがその活動に取り組んで,農村社会に多面的な貢献をしてきたことがわかる。当時の生活改善普及活動の対象は農家の家庭生活であり,生活の3要素といわれる衣,食,住の技術的改善が中心となった。それは,農作業衣の改善,保存食の改善,かまどの改善などから始まった。また,農家の主婦によって結成された生活改善実行グループの組織的活動の中で主婦の生活に対する意識も大きく変化するなど様々な成果をあげてきた。今後,生活改善普及事業が農村地域の発展に役立つためには,普及センターと普及職員の効率的な配置,生活改善普及事業に対する適切な予算の配慮,試験研究および各研究機関との連携した研究体制の整備等が求められている。
The extension service for agriculture development in Japan should have an extension service for the improvement of the status of home living in other to clear this the significance of historical development of practical activities of extension group for the improvement of home living was investigated. The agricultural development center was leading the extension activities for home living improvement in the area and the activities of the extension group for the development of living status have done multilateral contribution to the farm village society. The extension activities to improve home living in those days were aimed at the home life of the farmer and the technical improvement of clothing, food and cooking stove, etc. The living improvement extension group formed by the housewives of farmers also affected with various results such as consciousness of the life of housewife and that also greatly change the systematic activities of the extension group. The development of home living improvement extension in the farm village area in the future demands the maintenance of study system with the extension center and efficient use of extension officers and appropriate budget for each extension service centers.
