A 45-year-old atypical psychotic patient, was admitted to the hospital. She had anamnesis including five suicide attempts with hallucinations and bizarre actions for four years. She became quiet in a few days after admission, but her depression remained. She was referred to an occupational therapist for treatment. As the means of her therapeutic activities she used clay to make dolls to express herself use this activity. Her activities were based on her opinions and preferences. We spent three weeks with the patient for detailed preparations to make a doll. She was satisfied with the preparations and was ready to make it. Initially, she found it difficult to roll out the hard clay, but emotional support and collaboration with the therapists made it easier. As a result, the patient enjoyed her activity and started to communicate with other people. This suggests that occupational therapy might be useful to similar patients.
