反射法地震探査の石屋川測線の地下2OO～1000mには伏在活断層が存在する。その分布を明らかにするために、石屋川測線に沿ってVLF-MT探査、電気探査、地中レーダ探査を行った。その結果、VLF-MT探査と電気探査からは、それぞれ幅25m、lOmの低比抵抗帯が見いだされた。これらは断層に伴う破砕帯と解釈される。また、地中レーダ探査では地表から5mないし10数mまでの地下に反射パターンの不連続部が2カ所見つかった。これらは地震断層の地中レーダイメージ上の反射強度の不連続と類似する。これはVLF-MT探査と電気探査で見つかった異常部と同一直線上に並び、さらに地表踏査から見つかった家屋基礎の変形や破損した石屋川の護岸がその延長上に並ぶ。よって、伏在断層の影響は地表付近まで達していると考えられる。
Active faults were found at 200-l000m deep by a seismic reflection survey along the Ishiyagawa River, Kobe City. In order to clarify near-surface distribution of the faults, we made three types of surveys (VLF-MT, Electrical Resistivity, and Ground-Penetrating Rader) in the lshiyagawa River Park, which is adjacent to the seismic reflection survey line. The following results were obtained: (I) Discontinuity (wedge structure and half graben structure) of the Holocene horizontal strata was found on the GPR record. (2) Low apparent resistivity zone (<200 Ωm and 30m in width was detected at the middle part of the VLF-MT survey line. (3）Low resistive zone (～10m) of less than 1000 Ω m was found in the 2D geoelectric section inferred from the ER Survey. These anomalies are located just on a line. Deformation of a house-basement and a break of the bank along the Ishiyagawa River at the time of the Hyogoken-Nanbu Earthquake, were furthermore appeared on the line.
