抄録	本研究は、基礎看護実習Iの実習日誌として学生に課した2002年度および2001年度のリフレクティフシャーナル(以下、RJ)の内容を分析検討し、RJにおけるリフレクションに必須なスキル(以下、リフレクティフなスキル)の活用状況を明らかにするとともに、リフレクティフなスキルの修得促進のためのRJの早期導入の意義について検討することを目的とした。両年度の相違は、2002年度は基礎看護実習Iに先行して開講している演習に演習日誌としてRJを導入したが、2001年度は演習にRJを導入していないことてある。2002年度の実習期間中に毎日提出された64名のRJにおいて、リフレクションの必須スキルが活用されているかどうかについて、各々の定義をもとに詳細に分析・検討を行い、2001年度の58名のそれと比較した。その結果、「自己への気付き」のスキルの活用が、5日間のRJのうち少なくとも1日分のRJにおいてみられた学生の割合は155%から344%へ増加し、また、「分析」のスキルの活用がRJ上でなされていると判断できた学生の割合はO%たったものが14.1%認められた。一方、「記述描写」のスキルの活用がRJ上でなされていると判断てきた学生は、両年度とも全員であり、相違は認められなかった。以上のことから、RJの早期導入は、学生のリフレクティフなスキルの活用修得をより促進することが示唆された。したがって、実践的思考能力育成のためにも看護基礎教育においてRJを早期に導入することは意義があると考えられた。
抄録	The purpose of this study was to compare how students actually used necessary skills when writing a reflective journal of clinical placement in 2002 and 2001. In 2002 a reflective journal was introduced into a nursing skills laboratory before basic nursing clinical placement commenced, whereas in 2001 the reflective journal was introduced only at the start of the basic nursing clinical placement. This study explored whether early introduction of a reflective journal was significant to learning reflective skills, as evident in reflective journals of clinical placement. We obtained the reflective journals of 64 students in 2002 and of 58 students in 2001, who submitted them every day during a five day clinical placement period. The reflective journals were analyzed for the use of five reflective skills : 'self awareness', 'description', 'analysis', 'synthesis', and 'evaluation'. The findings showed that the skill 'self awareness' used by the students increased from 15.5% to 34.4% and the skill 'analysis' from 0% to 14.1% between 2001 and 2002. On the other hand, all students used the skill 'description' at least in one day's reflective journal in both years. From the results it was concluded that early introduction of reflective journals as into the nursing skills laboratory promoted the learning of practical use of the skill 'self awareness', 'description', and 'analysis'. In conclusion, early introduction of writing reflective journals into basic nursing education may be meaningful for the acquirement of reflective skills, which is thought of as indispensable to clinical thinking abilities.
