近年、学校現場では、行動の問題を主訴として医療機関を受診する児童生徒が増えている。このような子どもたちの中には、ADHDという診断を受け、薬物療法の適応となる子どもも多い。そこで、神戸市近郊の小児神経学会認定医、小児科学会認定医77名にアンケート調査を行なったところ、医療機関でADHDと診断された小中学生では、50％以上が投薬を受けていた。さらに、実際に投薬を受けている7名の児童生徒の保護者に面接して治療効果をどのように感じているか調査したところ、全員が多動と集中力が大きく改善したと答えた。一方、投薬の効果を認め、良かったと感じているものの、多くの家族は「将来、薬なしでもやっていけるようになるのか」ということについて不安を感じていた。これらの不安を軽減し、薬物への依存を少なくするためには、教員が薬物療法をよく理解し、適切な教育的援助をしていくことが重要であると思われた。
The number of the children who visit the medical office complaining of the behavioral problems has been increasing Some of them are made of a diagnosis of ADHD and are recommended to have drug treaient. We asked 77 pediatric-neurologists and pediatricians in and around Kobe city about medication for ADHD. Totally 266 children with ADHD were being followed at their clinics. (children of school age: 194 cases, children under school age: 72 cases). More than half of the children of of school age were on medication. Furthrmore，we had a interview with 7 parents of the children with ADHD. They replied that the behavioral problems of their children were significantly improved by the medication，especially hypeeractivity and attention deficits. Although they evaluated the effect of the drug treatmet on behavioral problems, most of them were worrying about the drug dependency in future. School teachers are required not only to have knowledge of the medication but also to provide educational support in order to relieve anxiety of the parents and to prevent drug dependency.
