抄録	Generalized convulsion, hypocalcemia and hyperphosphatemia were found in 10-day-old and 30-day-old newborns with breastfeeding. Normal blood concentration of 25 hydroxyvitamin D3 and normal radiographs of bones in these patients confirmed the absence of a rickets-like disorder. Contents of parathyroid hormone were under 500 pg./ml. as well as those of 3 controls. Studies on renal responsiveness in urinary excretion of cyclic AMP and phosphorus to parathyroid extract suggest that transient disturbance in reception of cyclic AMP signal in neonate is one of the etiologies concerning later neonatal hypocalcemia.
