This paper reports on the implementation of an interdisciplinary cooperative seminar for students from 9th through 12th grade at Kobe University Secondary School. Initiated following the school’s designation as a Super Science High School (SSH), the seminar is designed to foster cross-grade peer learning that enhances students’ inquiry skills and problem-solving abilities. In class, a variety of teaching methods—including group discussions, individualized mentoring, and a strong emphasis on primary research—are employed. These methods enable students to delve deeper into their research topics while simultaneously bringing operational challenges to light. Moreover, the seminar encourages a dynamic feedback loop among teachers and students, which further refines the research process and supports the continuous development of practical skills essential for addressing real-world issues. Recognizing challenges such as the complexities of administrative coordination and the need for diversified evaluation criteria, the program aims to implement digital tools and innovative assessment strategies. Moving forward, these efforts will not only streamline operational processes but also serve as a model for advancing educational reform and facilitating its expansion to other institutions.
