Regarding Professor Kano’s presentation, I describe what kind of generative AI would be needed for legal professionals to support their distinctive legal reasoning. Professor Kakumoto’s presentation has inspired me to briefly compare several possible approaches to the legal status of near-future AI services. My comment on Professor Oda’s presentation is that it would be interesting to distinguish between privacy invasion by surveillance cameras themselves and by AI image analysis. With regard to Professor Zhu’s presentation, I explain the current regulation of digital platforms in Japan and try to make an institutional proposal for the substantiation of consumer consent as suggested by Professor Zhu.
