【目的】本研究は、入院患者の安心感を支える看護実践への示唆を得るため、入院経験のある 患者が、入院中に安心感を抱いた看護師の関わり方と療養環境を明らかにすることを目的とし た。 【方法】入院経験のある20～80 歳代の成人9 名を対象に、入院中に安心感を抱いた看護師の 関わり方と療養環境についての半構造化面接を行った。得られたデータは、質的帰納的に分析 した。 【結果】分析の結果、安心感を抱く看護師の関わり方についての3 テーマ：【自分の状況や思 いを汲み取ってくれていると実感できる】【直接顔を合わせて接してくれる】【話を受け止め てくれそうな自然な雰囲気】、安心感を抱く療養環境についての3 テーマ：【病院にいると感 じない心地よく過ごせる環境】【誰かと関わりやすい環境】【料金が気にならない病室】が抽 出された。患者が安心感を抱く療養環境は、患者の好みやその時々の身体・心理的状況によっ て異なっていた。 【考察】入院患者の安心感を支えるためには、患者が受け止めてもらえていると実感できる看 護師の態度や、患者の好みおよび心身の状況に合わせた療養環境の調整が重要であると考えら れる。
We aimed to describe nurses’ involvements with hospitalized patients and their environment to foster peace of mind among them and recommend nursing practices that foster peace of mind among hospitalized patients. Nine adults, aged in their 20s to 80s and hospitalized, were interviewed using a semi-structured approach regarding the nurses' involvements with them and their environment that made them feel peace of mind during their hospitalization. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results indicated three themes related to how nurses interacted with patients to foster peace of mind among them: understanding the patient’s condition and lending an ear to their thoughts, ensuring direct face-to-face contact, and providing an atmosphere with acceptance for patient’s thoughts. Three environments related to foster peace of mind among them: a comfortable environment where they did not feel that they were in a hospital, an environment where they could relate to others, and a hospital room with acceptable pricing. The preferred environment varied depending on patients’ physical and psychological conditions. Thus, creating a convalescent environment tailored to the patient's concerns and physical condition as well as training nurses to make patients feel accepted and secure, to support their peace of mind, are crucial.
