The purpose of this article is to discuss the anxiety of bronchial asthma patients in relation to each of six factors found by the author in the previous study and to clarify the anxiety of bronchial asthma patients. The subjects were 72 patients with bronchial asthma (26 males, 46 females, age: 16-68 years). The psychological test used in this study was Taylor's Manifest Anxiety Scale (MAS) modified by the author and Cornell Medical Index (CMI). The patients were classified into four groups on CMI as follows: Group (1): psychologically healthy female patients' group (F-H), Group (2): female neurotics' group (F-N), Group (3): psychologically healthy male patients' group (M-H), and Group (4): male neurotics' group (M-N). By conducting "t" technique, the author analyzed the average anxiety points on each factor between F-H and F-N, and between M-H and M-N. The result was summarized as follows: The author found significant differences on the factors, (1) "chronic anxiety", "inferiority" and "concentration disturbed" seen in common between F-H : F-N and M-H : M-N, (2) "body syndromes" existing solely between F-H and F-N, and (3) "shamefulness" existing solely between M-H and M-N.
