Diving reflex was developed by immersing the face into water at the temperature of 4 °C in 40 female college students. To find arrhythmias, EKG was recorded. Before the test, dynamic ECG monitor (DCG) was recorded twice. In DCG test, ventricular premature contractions (VPC) were detected in 22 subjects. In the diving test 8 subjects developed VPC. In seven of 8 subjects, the same pattern of VPCs were observed as in DCG. These results revealed the difference between DCG and a diving test. It is recomended to observe ECG at a diving test to prevent diving accidents.
