2013 年11 月、非常に勢力の強い台風ヨランダがフィリピン共和国を横断し、その被害は死者6,300 人、負傷者28,688 人、行方不明者1,062 人に及んだ。被災後3 年以上が経過した今日において，どのような影響が残っているかを含め，母子保健の現状を調査した。結果、対象者の半数以上のパートナーが非正規雇用者であり、日々の食費や教育費に不安を抱えている。さらに半数以上にPTSDが疑われた。災害に向けた準備については、約53 パーセントの人々が「準備ができている」と答える一方、43 パーセントが家族レベルで避難計画が立てられておらず、行っている災害への備えに対して何らかの不安を感じている人は約90 パーセントにのぼっていた。以上の結果より、女性の心のケアを中心とした援助の必要性とともに、避難場所などの具体的な情報提示を進めていきながら個人や家庭レベルにおける避難計画の必要性を周知していくことが今後の減災対策において重要であることが示唆された。
The extremely strong typhoon Yolanda across the Philippines republic in November 2013 caused wide spread damages which were the number of deaths 6,300, injured 28,688 and missing 1,062. We investigated the current situation of maternal and child health. We found that more than half of the participant’s partners were contractual employees and they worried about their food expenses and/or school expenses. In addition to this, PTSD was also suspected in the majority. When it comes to the disaster preparation, about 53% answered ‘Somewhat to well prepared’, although 43% could not make any evacuation plan among family members and more than 90% felt some anxiety about their preparation. According to the results, we can point out the importance of psycological care for women and the needs of making evacuation plan at the family level with spreading the information such as the place of evacuation center for the future disaster preparation.
