本研究では，福島県中通り地方にある高校に在学している生徒を対象に，進路決定変数とその関連変数意識から検討することを目的とした。調査対象者は，福島県中通り地方に所在する公立高校の1年生から3年生の生徒559名であった。分析の結果，学年が上がるほど進路希望に対する迷いが減少し，学習意欲や進路意識が上昇するといった一般的な高校生が示す傾向と同様であったが，低線量被爆の恐れを感じざるを得ない，それにもかかわらずそれに対して有効な対処を持ち得ない環境にあっては，問題焦点型コーピングだけでは必ずしも効果的には機能せず，日々生じている不安などに対する情動焦点型コーピングが機能することで，学習意欲や進路意識を高め，望ましい進路決定を促すことが示唆された。
The purpose of this study was to research the psychological effects of the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. In this study, we researched how high school students who live in Nakadori aria decide one's course in life. The result showed that the distinct characteristic of subjects is not found in deciding one’s course in life. However, problem-focused coping and emotion-focused coping were related to academic motivation, an idea of their future career path, independence of parents, dependence of parents, and self-esteem. To cope with stressful physical and psychological environment, not only problem-focused coping but also emotion-focused coping was needed, and would promote to deciding one’s course in life.
